The NTA said it adopted multiple measures to ensure the smooth conduct and monitoring of the examination, working in coordination with state and district authorities.
For the first time, OTP-based Aadhaar e-KYC was introduced as the primary method for authenticating candidates during registration to prevent impersonation. Important advisories and instructions for candidates were included in the admit card to ensure awareness of examination rules and regulations.
Special emphasis was placed on the random deployment of exam functionaries across all centers. A total of 311 city coordinators, 726 observers, 311 flying squads, and 215 representatives from certain central government agencies were deputed for examination duties.
An online orientation training program was conducted for examination functionaries over three consecutive days prior to the exam, with approximately 1,400 personnel participating.
A central control room was set up at NTA headquarters to monitor and facilitate the smooth conduct of the examination. Live CCTV surveillance with analytics was implemented at all centers to curb malpractice. Arrangements were also made for live remote viewing of examination centers from the NTA control room in New Delhi, and CCTV recordings were used for post-examination analysis.
The centers were additionally monitored using AI-based video analytics and virtual observers. Jammers, including 5G jammers, were installed at all centers to prevent unfair practices involving mobile phones or other electronic devices.
The NTA constituted a PwD/PwBD committee and implemented policies in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. PwD/PwBD candidates were assigned to accessible test centers, and organizational support was provided.
To enhance transparency, the question paper, recorded responses, and provisional answer key were posted on the website for verification by candidates. After review by subject experts, the revised answer keys were published.
The NTA thanked central government agencies, state and district authorities, examination functionaries, and candidates for their support in the successful conduct of JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1. (ANI)
