LUCKNOW, Feb. 24 (ANI) — Uttar Pradesh secured a major investment boost during Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Singapore, as Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government to establish two major projects at Noida International Airport in Gautam Buddha Nagar.
Under the agreement, AISATS will invest Rs 4,458 crore to develop a state-of-the-art cargo campus and a world-class air catering kitchen at the airport, which is widely known as Jewar Airport.
The cargo campus will serve as a key hub for air freight and logistics, benefiting not only Uttar Pradesh but the entire North India region. The facility is expected to accelerate export and import activities, particularly supporting industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural products. With multi-modal connectivity planned for the airport, the cargo campus is expected to strengthen the region’s position as a strategic center for international trade.
The second project involves the establishment of a modern air catering kitchen that will provide high-quality meals for flights operating from Noida International Airport. The facility will also supply food to other airports across North India, strengthening the regional food processing and aviation supply chain network.
Officials said the projects are expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities while contributing significantly to the state’s aviation, logistics, and service sectors.
The investment is part of the Chief Minister’s broader effort to attract global investors and position Uttar Pradesh as a key destination for international business. With the upcoming operational launch of Noida International Airport, the cargo and catering facilities are expected to play a crucial role in enhancing the region’s economic growth and global connectivity.
