NEW DELHI, India — Feb. 25, 2026 (ANI): U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor on Wednesday held talks with IBM CEO Arvind Krishna at the U.S. Embassy.
In a post on X, Gor said, “Enjoyed hosting Arvind Krishna at the U.S. Embassy today. IBM continues to lead the world in technology advancement, a great bridge between the U.S. and India.”
Meanwhile, Gor also visited the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Sharing a photo from the visit, he wrote, “Few places on earth match the beauty of the Taj Mahal. Almost 15 years ago, I visited the same spot with my parents — wonderful to be back!”
Earlier, Gor hosted a dinner at the Chief of Mission’s Residence in New Delhi. The gathering was attended by several global leaders and industry heads, including Raj Subramanian, CEO of FedEx; Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI; Andrej Plenkovic, Prime Minister of Croatia; Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan; Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal; and Sunil Bharti Mittal, chairman of Bharti Airtel, among other heads of state and multinational CEOs.
A Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, also attended the dinner and interacted with dignitaries and business leaders, highlighting Telangana’s progressive industrial policy, world-class infrastructure, and investor-friendly ecosystem. He emphasized the state government’s proactive approach to facilitating investments, particularly in emerging sectors such as technology, artificial intelligence, logistics, advanced manufacturing, and green energy.
Gor also underlined the importance that U.S. President Donald Trump places on India, noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited him to visit the country. Speaking at a joint press conference with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg and U.S. Science and Technology Advisor Michael Kratsios, Gor said there has been no formal announcement yet regarding the visit, but recalled that Trump greatly enjoyed his previous trip to India.
