WASHINGTON, D.C., May 10 (ANI) — US President Donald Trump posted a series of messages on his Truth Social platform Saturday featuring artificial intelligence-generated images depicting maritime warfare alongside photos from a golf event.
The posts, which appeared after a morning of silence from the president, portrayed a high-stakes military confrontation involving the United States and Iran.
The social media activity began at 3:51 p.m. Saturday when Trump shared a fabricated image showing unmanned aerial vehicles bearing Iranian insignia falling into the ocean, accompanied by a caption describing them as “dropping like butterflies.”
The president later posted another AI-generated image depicting an American vessel firing laser beams that triggered large aerial explosions, captioned: “Bye Bye, Drones.”
Trump also used the synthetic imagery to criticize former Democratic presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama over their military posture toward Tehran.
One split-screen graphic contrasted a destroyed Iranian fleet labeled “Trump” with intact vessels labeled “Obama/Biden,” appearing to reinforce Trump’s previous claims that American forces had destroyed 159 Iranian ships.
In another military-themed post, Trump shared an AI-generated image of himself standing aboard a vessel and looking through binoculars as ships burned in the distance.
The posts emerged during a fragile ceasefire between Washington and Tehran, as both countries continue maintaining opposing blockades in the Strait of Hormuz amid rising regional tensions.
Interspersed among the war-themed graphics were posts highlighting Trump’s attendance at a LIV Golf tournament hosted at Trump National Golf Club Washington D.C. in Virginia.
Images appearing to be taken from a television broadcast showed the golf club’s riverside property along the Potomac River.
Trump, who recently attended the Cadillac Championship in Florida, was seen at the Virginia event seated behind bulletproof glass alongside his son, Eric Trump. (ANI)
