Kannur (Kerala) [India], April 30 (ANI): In a chilling case of domestic betrayal and revenge, Pariyaram Police on Wednesday arrested the wife of an auto-rickshaw driver for allegedly conspiring in her husband’s murder in Kannur, Kerala.
The victim, KK Radhakrishnan, was fatally shot on March 20 at his under-construction residence located in Kaithapram village. The accused, 42-year-old Mini Nambiar—a native of Mathamangalam town in Kannur—has been charged along with the primary suspect, Santhosh, for their alleged involvement in the premeditated killing.
In addition to the duo, authorities have arrested another individual, Sijo Jose, who is accused of supplying the firearm to Santhosh, thereby facilitating the crime.
According to statements from the investigation team, Santhosh had been lying in wait inside the incomplete structure before ambushing Radhakrishnan and opening fire. The murder is believed to have been motivated by a desire for personal revenge.
Investigators revealed that Santhosh was driven by hostility after Radhakrishnan objected to his relationship with Mini. The two had rekindled their acquaintance at a school reunion, following which Santhosh began working as a laborer at the construction site of Radhakrishnan’s home.
As their relationship intensified, Radhakrishnan reportedly expressed strong opposition and had even lodged a formal complaint with Pariyaram Police, alleging that Santhosh had threatened him.
In a disturbing twist, authorities disclosed that Santhosh had posted a series of ominous messages on Facebook before the murder. At 4:23 p.m. on the day of the incident, he shared a photograph of himself holding a gun, captioned, “The task is to hit the target. Certainly, I will.”
Later that evening, at 7:27 p.m., he posted again, writing, “Didn’t I tell you? Didn’t I tell you not to harm my girl? I can bear losing my life, but my girl… I won’t forgive you.”
Mini Nambiar has since been remanded to judicial custody pending further legal proceedings.
