Astana [Kazakhstan], July 6 (ANI): India’s women boxers led the charge as the national contingent secured its best-ever medal haul at the World Boxing Cup in Astana, Kazakhstan, winning 11 medals on Sunday, including three gold.
According to a release from the Boxing Federation of India (BFI), Sakshi (54kg), Jaismine (57kg), and Nupur (80+kg) delivered stellar performances in their respective finals to claim gold medals, helping India surpass its previous six-medal tally from the first leg in Brazil earlier this year.
