New Delhi [India], August 13 (ANI): The third round of the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) was held in Delhi on Wednesday, with leaders from both countries reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The ISMR featured a productive interaction with the India Singapore Business Roundtable (ISBR) delegation. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar praised the Singaporean ministers attending the roundtable for their dedication to enhancing bilateral ties. He emphasized that synergy between government and industry is vital to unlocking the next phase of India-Singapore relations.

He added, “The ISMR had a productive interaction with the India Singapore Business Roundtable #ISBR delegation. Synergy between Government & Industry is key to unlocking the next phase of ties.”
Apart from Jaishankar, India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Railways, IT, and Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw attended the roundtable.
Singaporean ministers participating in ISMR included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong; Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs K Shanmugam; Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan; Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo; Minister for Manpower Dr. Tan See Leng; and Acting Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow.
The third round of ISMR identified opportunities to broaden and deepen bilateral relations. Envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ISMR is a unique platform for setting a forward-looking agenda for India-Singapore cooperation. The inaugural meeting was held in New Delhi in September 2022, followed by the second round in Singapore in August 2024. India and Singapore continue to share a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
