Paris [France], September 30 (ANI): France welcomed the plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump to bring an end to the war in Gaza, following intensive diplomatic efforts conducted with Saudi Arabia during the United Nations General Assembly. France expressed support for the principles outlined in the plan, which align with the New York Declaration adopted at the initiative of France and Saudi Arabia on September 12, and to which the American proposal refers regarding the Gaza crisis.
The plan calls for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages, and the large-scale entry of humanitarian aid under United Nations supervision. It also rejects any annexation or forced displacement of populations, mandates the disarmament and exclusion of Hamas, and establishes governance arrangements to enable the reconstruction of Gaza, the restoration of the Palestinian Authority in the enclave, and the deployment of an international stabilization mission ensuring the security of both Israelis and Palestinians—a meeting for which France chaired preparations in New York.
The statement also emphasizes the resumption of a political process aimed at establishing a Palestinian state living in peace and security alongside Israel.
France called on all parties in the Gaza conflict to embrace the plan without delay in order to end the war and open a path toward peace and collective security, guaranteeing the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the Israeli people’s right to security, stability, and regional integration. The country described this as a decisive moment for Israel to regain the support of its partners, including France, and for the Palestinian people to emerge from despair and violence, securing a future free from terrorism and fulfilling their legitimate aspirations.
France affirmed its readiness to work toward the implementation of the plan alongside the United States, the Government of Israel, the Palestinian Authority, and all international partners involved in the New York discussions. (ANI)
