Moscow [Russia], December 4 (ANI): The 2025 edition of the Expert of the Year Award, held in the federal territory of Sirius, celebrated international contributions across 16 categories, recognising participants from multiple countries for their innovation and expertise. The award honours individuals whose behind-the-scenes work drives progress in key sectors and has evolved from a regional initiative into a global platform, supported by TV BRICS for the second consecutive year.
Andrey Oleksyuk, Director of the Expert Analytics Centre, highlighted the award’s growth: “What began as a regional event became national, and now international. The quality of projects has grown manifold. This award offers recognition to experts from all walks of life, whether they are workers, managers, or civil servants.” TV BRICS CEO Janna Tolstikova noted that the network continues to support initiatives across BRICS nations in areas such as education, youth policy, ecology, and industry, strengthening collaboration among expert communities worldwide.
Among the international winners, Masoud Ahmadvand, Cultural Adviser at the Embassy of Iran in Russia, was recognised in the “International Projects” category for the “Patterns of Friendship” festival, an artistic exchange featuring 200 works combining Iranian and Russian cultural interpretations. In the “International Media” category, Brazilian outlet Brasil de Fato and its director Nina Fideles were honoured. Sergey Monin, head of the outlet’s Russia bureau, emphasised that BRICS media cooperation enhances mutual understanding between nations.
Other international laureates included India’s Sonu Saini (JNU), Nigerian filmmaker Amazing-Grace Ajayi, Egypt’s Amjad Othman, and Iran’s Mohammad Mahdi Rahmati, recognised for their contributions to cultural exchange and global media linkages. Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage Museum and Chairman of the Expert Council, stressed the enduring importance of human judgment and reputation in an era increasingly shaped by automated evaluation tools.
Established in 2012, the Expert of the Year Award recognises innovators in science, industry, administration, and social development, with TV BRICS serving as its international media partner since 2024. (ANI)
