Davos, Switzerland, January 20 (ANI): A delegation led by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, under the ‘Telangana Rising’ banner, held extensive discussions on addressing climate change, its impact on agriculture, and the adverse effects of pollution in urban areas.
During a meeting with Google APAC President Sanjay Gupta, CM Revanth Reddy presented the state’s CURE, PURE, RARE framework for regional economic growth and outlined plans to make core Hyderabad pollution-free. He also highlighted potential areas for collaboration, including traffic management, cybersecurity, and support for startup innovation.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Google for establishing its first-ever Google for Startups hub in Hyderabad. The delegation discussed the overuse of fertilizers and emphasized the need to educate farmers and implement preventive measures to address soil and agricultural challenges.
Sanjay Gupta confirmed Google’s commitment to fully support Telangana in traffic control, cybersecurity, agriculture, startups, and climate change initiatives. Minister D. Sridhar Babu detailed the state government’s skilling programs, including the Young India Skills University, BFSI skilling initiatives, partnerships with Khan Academy and Physicswallah, and AI curriculum integration. He also highlighted efforts to provide free electricity to government schools and high-speed internet through the T-Fibre program.
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and other senior officials participated in the discussions.
