New Delhi [India], May 21 (ANI): Group 4 of the all-party delegations, led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, is set to depart for the UAE on Wednesday as part of a diplomatic tour to key partner countries to emphasize India’s firm stance against terrorism and expose Pakistan’s role in promoting it. The delegation’s itinerary includes visits to the UAE, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Sierra Leone.
The 8-member delegation features BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj, Atul Garg, BJD MP Sasmit Patra, BJP Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra, BJP leader SS Ahluwalia, IUML MP ET Mohammed Basheer, and Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.
Speaking to reporters, Shinde expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stressing the importance of conveying India’s message globally. He said, “I am fortunate to lead a group going to UAE and West Africa… It is important to tell the world what India has been facing for many years—how Pakistan supports and funds terrorism. India and Pakistan gained independence simultaneously, but while India progressed economically, Pakistan has progressed only in terrorism.”
BJP MP Atul Garg added that the delegation will not only present India’s position but also address queries from host nations. He emphasized India’s right to respond to terrorist attacks and mentioned Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir’s controversial statements about Hindus.
Senior advocate and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Manan Kumar Mishra outlined the delegation’s key objective: to declare Pakistan a “terrorist state” that harbors global terrorists. He said, “For the past 30 years, India has suffered due to Pakistan’s support to terrorists who harm our citizens and property. After the Pahalgam terror attack, we waited 15 days for Pakistan to act against the perpetrators, but no action was taken. Hence, India responded with targeted strikes on terrorist bases, without harming civilians or military personnel.”
Mishra further stressed that India remains a peace-loving nation but will respond firmly to any aggression, countering Pakistan’s narrative accusing India of deliberate harm. “The world knows the truth, and we will present Pakistan’s history and actions clearly,” he said.
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj hailed Operation Sindoor as a new pledge of justice in response to the Pahalgam attack. She noted, “The terrorist attack in Pahalgam was a blow to India’s honour. PM Modi and our armed forces gave a fitting reply. Terror and talks can never coexist, and India’s position on PoK remains firm. This all-party delegation carries a unified national message across party lines.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Group 3 of the all-party delegations, led by JD(U) National Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha, departed for Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, and Singapore. This group includes BJP members Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Pradan Baruah, Hemang Joshi, CPI(M)’s John Brittas, former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, and Mohan Kumar.
John Brittas emphasized the need for global unity with India against terrorism, calling the diplomatic tour a vital public outreach. “This is a time for countries to rally with India,” he said.
In the context of Operation Sindoor and India’s ongoing fight against cross-border terrorism, seven all-party delegations will visit key partner countries, including UN Security Council members, this month. These delegations aim to project India’s national consensus and strong zero-tolerance policy on terrorism to the world. (ANI)
