Gurugram, Haryana [India], January 8: BMW Group India reported a record-breaking year in 2025, achieving its highest annual car sales to date with 18,001 units sold, marking a robust year-on-year growth of 14%. The company delivered 17,271 BMW cars and 730 MINI vehicles, while BMW Motorrad sold 5,841 motorcycles, according to an official release.
Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, said, “2025 has been a record-breaking year for BMW Group India with the highest-ever sales till date. Crossing the 18,000-unit mark reflects the strong aspiration and trust that our valued customers have in our brands.” Brar highlighted growth across all segments, including internal combustion engines, electric vehicles (EVs), Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs), sedans, and long wheelbase models, emphasizing the company’s leadership in the luxury electric segment.
Quarterly Performance and Product Launches
Quarter 4 (October–December) saw record car sales of 6,023 units, up 17% YoY. BMW Group India launched 20 new products across BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad in 2025, including notable models such as the BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase, BMW X3, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, MINI JCW Countryman All4, MINI Convertible, BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, and BMW S 1000 RR.
Electric Vehicles
BMW Group India strengthened its position in the luxury EV segment, delivering 3,753 BMW and MINI EVs in 2025, a 200% increase YoY. EVs now account for 21% of total sales, up from 8% in 2024. BMW EVs are leading the market both at the entry level with the BMW iX1 and at the top end with the BMW i7. The company has enhanced its EV ecosystem with initiatives like Destination Charging, Smart E-Routing, Charging Concierge, and High Performance Electric Corridor, offering customers access to over 6,000 charging points nationwide.
Long Wheelbase and SAV Performance
Long wheelbase models saw a growth of 162% YoY with 8,608 units sold, now constituting 50% of BMW sales. SAVs continued their popularity, registering 10,748 units (+22% YoY), representing 60% of total sales, with the BMW X1 and BMW X5 leading the segment.
MINI and BMW Motorrad
MINI India delivered 730 units (+3% YoY), with the MINI Cooper S growing 47% YoY. BMW Motorrad maintained its leadership in the premium motorcycle segment with high-performance models, including the BMW S 1000 RR, BMW 900 GS/GSA, and BMW 1300 GS/GSA, registering overall growth of 7% YoY.
Retail and Financial Services
BMW Group India launched Retail.NEXT, an immersive retail concept, and operates 97 touchpoints across 40 cities, planning 19 additional outlets in 2026. BMW India Financial Services provides tailored ‘BMW Smart Finance’ solutions with low monthly installments, assured buy-back, flexible end-of-term options, and upgrade pathways, enhancing accessibility and customer satisfaction.
