New Delhi [India], June 4 (ANI): In a significant breakthrough, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a man from Hisar, Haryana, on charges of rape and penetrative sexual assault on multiple minor girls. The arrest follows a detailed investigation into child sexual exploitation and the distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) online.
The case was officially registered on May 29, accusing the individual of creating, storing, and circulating CSAM, which included images and videos depicting children in sexual acts. Authorities also found that the accused had stored pornographic material involving children in electronic form.
What makes this case particularly serious is that the CBI detected the abuse independently, before any formal complaints had been made by victims or their families to law enforcement agencies.
Using advanced investigative techniques and forensic tools, CBI traced the disturbing CSAM content through the INTERPOL’s International Child Sexual Exploitation (ICSE) database, as well as Cyber Tipline Reports generated by Google and shared with the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
Cyber forensic analysis linked the abuse to Hisar district, identifying the specific location and several minor victims. On June 3, CBI officials conducted searches at the accused’s residence, leading to the seizure of incriminating digital evidence, including electronic gadgets used to produce and distribute the CSAM.
The investigation also uncovered that the accused—who reportedly has a physical disability—had been involved in sexual abuse, threats, and exploitation of multiple children over several years, with the content being used for pornographic purposes.
The CBI emphasized its continued commitment to eradicating child sexual abuse, bringing perpetrators to justice, and using technology-led intelligence and global cooperation to protect vulnerable children.
The investigation is still ongoing, and further developments are expected as authorities continue to identify additional victims and collaborators, if any. (ANI)
