
Taipei [Taiwan], April 3 (ANI): Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense (MND) reported detecting a significant Chinese military presence around the island, including 59 aircraft, 23 naval vessels, and eight official ships as of 6 AM local time.
Key Details of Chinese Incursions
- 31 out of 59 aircraft crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s northern, central, southwestern, and eastern ADIZ (Air Defense Identification Zone).
- The Chinese military staged live-fire drills in the East China Sea and conducted blockade exercises near key shipping lanes east and west of Taiwan.
Taiwan’s Response: “Rapid Response Exercise”
- In reaction to the escalating military pressure, Taiwan’s armed forces launched the “Rapid Response Exercise” to counteract PLA activities.
- In a post on X, Taiwan’s MND stated: “No matter how the PLA attempts to cloak these actions with exaggerated labels, they cannot justify the inherently provocative nature of such drills. ROC Armed Forces have launched the “Rapid Response Exercise”. We will remain on high alert and safeguard our national security.”
