
New Delhi, April 7 (ANI): A tense situation unfolded at Mayur Vihar metro station around noon on Monday after a boy was discovered hanging from a railing at the station, prompting immediate rescue efforts by the Delhi Police and Fire Services.
Authorities were alerted via the Police Control Room (PCR), after which teams swiftly reached the scene to initiate the rescue operation.
“There is no information on how he ended up hanging from the railing of the metro station. We are trying to ascertain whether it was a suicide attempt or an accident,” said a police official at the site.
Rescue operations were still ongoing at the time of reporting, and no confirmation has been made about the boy’s condition. Officials stated that further details will be shared once the situation is under control and initial investigations are complete.
The incident caused panic among commuters, with metro services reported to be running normally but with restricted access around the affected area.
