
New Delhi [India], September 14 (ANI): A fatal accident on Ring Road near Dhaula Kuan left one person dead and another injured after a BMW car collided with a motorcycle on Sunday, according to Delhi Police.
The deceased, who worked in the Ministry of Finance and lived in Hari Nagar, was riding with his wife on the motorcycle when the collision occurred. Following the impact, the bike-borne couple hit a bus on their left.
Eyewitnesses told police that a woman was driving the BMW when it struck the motorcycle. After the accident, she and her husband reportedly hired a taxi to rush the injured couple to a hospital.
Hospital authorities later informed police that one of the victims had died, while the other was undergoing treatment. Police confirmed that both the BMW and the motorcycle have been seized, and the crime team has inspected the site. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was also called in for investigation.
“A BMW car was found overturned on the road, and a motorcycle was discovered near Metro pillar number 67, Dhaula Kuan. Eyewitnesses said a woman was driving the car, which hit the motorcycle. After this, she and her husband took a taxi and transported the injured to the hospital. A call was then received from the hospital reporting one death and another injury. The vehicles have been seized, the crime team has examined the spot, and the FSL team has also been called. The accused and her husband sustained injuries and are admitted to hospital. Legal action is being taken,” Delhi Police said in a statement.
