Dubai [UAE], June 17 (ANI/WAM): Emirates has made a grand return to the International Paris Air Show after more than 15 years, participating in the 55th edition of the world-renowned aerospace event, held until June 19. The Dubai-based airline is showcasing its latest addition, the Airbus A350, complete with next-generation cabin design, innovative interiors, and cutting-edge technologies.
Visitors to the Emirates display at Le Bourget can explore the airline’s upgraded Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class cabins, all designed to deliver a refined and immersive flying experience. The return to the Paris Air Show marks a renewed commitment to deepening ties with the French aerospace industry and highlighting Emirates’ role as a leading global aviation partner.
Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, remarked, “We’re pleased to be at the Paris Air Show, showcasing the very best of air travel on one of the most important platforms in the aerospace exhibition calendar. Coming back to France’s most important aerospace show demonstrates how committed Emirates is to supporting the country’s aviation industry—not just through our day-to-day operations, but through ongoing investments across the entire aerospace supply chain.”
Emirates currently operates 21 weekly flights to Paris, including three daily A380 services, a daily A380 flight to Nice, and a daily Airbus A350 service to Lyon. It remains the only international airline flying the A380 to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. For over 30 years, Emirates has contributed to the expansion of France’s aviation sector, trade, and tourism.
The airline’s investment in France includes the purchase of 254 Airbus aircraft, supporting thousands of jobs at Airbus, Safran, Thales, and other aerospace suppliers. Since its inception in 1985, Emirates has invested over EUR 114 billion (USD 130 billion) in Airbus aircraft, including the A300, A310, A330, A340-300, A340-500, A380, and A350.
In 2023, Emirates signed several significant contracts with French aerospace companies. These include a EUR 896 million (USD 1.0 billion) agreement with Safran for new-generation seats for its A350, Boeing 777X-9, and 777-300ER aircraft. Additionally, the airline invested over EUR 322 million (USD 367.5 million) in Thales’ AVANT Up in-flight entertainment systems for its new A350 fleet.
Emirates also sources key aircraft components from France, including Michelin tires, Safran seating and components, and Thales avionics. The UAE is France’s largest Middle Eastern export partner, and Emirates contributes more than EUR 189 million (USD 215 million) annually to the French economy through operational expenditures.
France is also Emirates’ top global source market for wine, with 58% of red wines served in the airline’s First and Business Class coming from Bordeaux.
The A350 aircraft on display at the Paris Air Show features 32 next-gen lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 spacious Economy seats. Enhanced cabin features include extra-high ceilings, wider aisles, improved lighting, faster Wi-Fi, and an upgraded in-flight entertainment system offering a cinematic viewing experience.
By the end of 2025, Emirates plans to deploy its A350 fleet to 17 global destinations. The airline has already inducted seven A350 aircraft, with 58 more scheduled to join in the coming years, reinforcing its commitment to providing an elevated passenger experience while strengthening its partnership with the global aerospace sector.
