Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s transformation into a “fast and fearless” nation during his address at the Rising Bharat Summit, stating that bold decisions and swift execution have become the hallmarks of his government. He emphasized that the world is watching India with renewed hope, driven by the energy of its youth and the power of inclusive policies.
India’s Rise on the Global Stage
“Those who thought India would move slowly and steadily now see a fast and fearless India,” said PM Modi.
He noted that India doubled the size of its economy in just a decade and is on track to soon become the third-largest economy globally.
Youth and Aspiration: Growth Engines
- PM Modi credited India’s youth for driving the country’s historic economic rise.
- “Their ambitions and aspirations are steering this unprecedented growth,” he said.
Tax Relief for Middle Class and Entrepreneurs
- Announced that income up to ₹12 lakh is now tax-free, providing major relief for young professionals and small business owners.
Opening Up Key Sectors
- Following the space sector, the nuclear energy sector has also been opened to private enterprises.
- Gig economy workers will now receive social security protection.
- A ₹2 crore term loan scheme for SC, ST, and women entrepreneurs aims to fuel inclusive growth.
“Inclusivity is not just a promise—it’s policy,” PM Modi asserted.
Faster Infrastructure Execution
- Citing the Bogibeel Bridge project, the PM criticized the delays under previous governments and said his administration completed the bridge within four years of taking office in 2014.
“Delay is the enemy of development. India thrives on swift action and determination,” he said.
MUDRA Scheme Impact
- Over 52 crore loans issued under the MUDRA scheme in the last 10 years, with 11 crore first-time borrowers supporting self-employment.
