
California [US], April 22 (ANI): FBI Director Kash Patel assured that justice will be served following the arrest of Harpreet Singh, a terrorist involved in attacks in Punjab, India. Patel praised the FBI Sacramento team for its efforts in apprehending Singh, noting the investigation was conducted in coordination with Indian authorities.
Patel wrote on X, “CAPTURED: HARPREET SINGH, part of an alleged foreign terrorist gang here illegally in the United States, who we believe was involved in planning multiple attacks on police stations both in India and the United States. FBI Sacramento conducted the investigation, coordinating with our partners locally as well as in India. Excellent work from all, and justice will be done.”
Patel further emphasized that the FBI will continue its efforts to find individuals involved in violent acts, regardless of their location.
The FBI, in cooperation with Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), arrested Harpreet Singh on Friday. The suspect, connected to two international terrorist organizations, had entered the US illegally and used burner phones to evade capture. Singh is linked to several terror attacks in Punjab and other states.
Punjab’s Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, praised the arrest, calling it a significant milestone in the crackdown on Pakistan’s ISI-backed terror networks. Yadav highlighted the successful international cooperation between the United States and India in apprehending Singh, who had orchestrated various terrorist activities in Punjab between 2023 and 2025.
