
New Delhi [India], June 5 (ANI): In a major boost for government job aspirants across India, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has launched an upgraded mobile application — My SSC — to simplify and secure the application process for recruitment exams.
Developed in partnership with Cubastion Consulting Pvt. Ltd., the enhanced My SSC app, available since June 2, 2025, introduces a range of advanced features aimed at improving transparency and curbing impersonation. Key updates include Aadhaar-linked OTP authentication, a one-time registration process, and face recognition via the Aadhaar Face RD app.
These innovations are designed to ensure a secure, foolproof application and registration experience for candidates applying to Group B and Group C posts under SSC. Applicants can now register using their Aadhaar number, verify their identity through OTP on their Aadhaar-linked mobile number, and complete Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures with facial authentication during the application process. Following verification, a unique UID token is generated to ensure that only legitimate applicants can move forward.
“This is a national milestone. We are launching Face RD integration in SSC for the first time at this scale. This will substantially cut impersonation and enhance trust in our recruitment systems,” said SSC Chairman S Gopalakrishnan.
So far, 40,000 applications have been successfully processed using the new system, with over two lakh more in progress. The SSC anticipates receiving nearly 30 lakh applications through this platform.
At examination centres, the UID token and registration ID will be used to authenticate candidates, making this one of the most secure recruitment systems currently in use in the country.
The My SSC app is now available for download on the Google Play Store, allowing millions of government job aspirants to apply confidently and independently.
