SURAT [Gujarat], December 17 (ANI): A fire erupted at a chemical factory in Makhinga village, Palsana, Surat, on Wednesday. Fire tenders were immediately deployed, and efforts to control the blaze are ongoing, officials said.
Fire Officer Rishi Soni stated, “A call was received this morning about a fire in a chemical factory. The fire tenders were immediately deployed on the spot. Efforts to douse the fire are underway. The cause of the fire is unknown.” Further details are awaited.
This incident follows a series of recent fires in Gujarat. On December 12, a massive fire broke out at a plastics raw material company in Valsad, requiring multiple fire tenders to control the blaze. Visuals showed firefighting personnel carrying water containers to tackle the flames. No casualties were reported in that incident.
Earlier, on December 11, a fire had broken out at a godown in Surat storing wooden items and flammable materials such as mattresses, cushions, and PVC chairs. About 50 fire personnel were involved in extinguishing the fire, and no casualties occurred. (ANI)
