
New Delhi [India], April 27 (ANI): Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested the arms supplier linked to the Hashim Baba Gang and seized two semi-automatic pistols and four live bullets. The arrest took place near Begumpur police station, officials confirmed on Sunday.
The accused, identified as Md. Rihan, was apprehended on April 22 while he was en route to deliver the arms consignment to an active member of the Hashim Baba Gang in Sector-24, Rohini. Following the arrest, Rihan’s associate was also detained, and a sophisticated semi-automatic pistol and two live bullets were recovered from him.
DCP Crime Harsh Indora informed that the police acted on secret information about the illegal arms supply. A trap was laid, leading to Rihan’s arrest near Premadhar Ayurvedik Hospital in Deep Vihar, Sector-24, Rohini.
Rihan disclosed that he had been purchasing these pistols from an associate named Salman and selling them to Hashim Baba Gang members and other individuals. The investigation further led to Salman’s arrest. (ANI)
