Tel Aviv [Israel], June 26 (ANI/TPS): In a targeted operation late Wednesday night, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) destroyed a building in the village of Houla in southern Lebanon, which was reportedly being used by the Hezbollah terrorist organization for military purposes. The IDF described the strike as a “special operation” based on prior intelligence.
According to the IDF, the facility was being used for intelligence-gathering activities aimed at monitoring Israeli forces, constituting a direct breach of existing understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
“The terrorists’ activities in the building constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF stated.
The destroyed building had also served as the residence of Hezbollah member Ahmed Ghazi Ali, who was eliminated by the IDF approximately a week earlier in the same village. Ali was believed to be actively involved in efforts to re-establish Hezbollah’s military infrastructure in southern Lebanon. (ANI/TPS)
