Tel Aviv [Israel], April 10 (ANI/TPS): The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed that more than 35 buildings, tunnels, and other terrorist infrastructures were destroyed in overnight and morning operations across the Gaza Strip, as part of an intensified military campaign.
According to an IDF spokesperson, the operations involved coordinated air and ground strikes aimed at eliminating terrorist threats and gaining operational control in key areas of the region.
“IDF forces continue to operate in the Gaza Strip and destroy dozens of terrorist infrastructures in the area,” the spokesperson said. “Air Force jets and aircraft targeted approximately 35 terrorist objectives in the past 24 hours.”
The strikes were carried out under the guidance of the Intelligence Branch, Southern Command, and the Shin Bet (Israel’s internal security service), with support from ground forces. Targets included sniper and observation posts, tunnel shafts, and structures used for operational planning by militant groups.
Key areas of operation included:
- Rafah region, where Division 36 targeted the Moraj axis and Tel Sultan neighborhood
- Shaburah, where underground infrastructure and terrorist strongholds were neutralized
- Northern Gaza Strip, where Division 252 conducted operations to dismantle terrorist compounds and eliminate fighters
The IDF reported that several terrorists were killed during these engagements, though no further casualty details were disclosed.
The military emphasized that these actions are part of a broader objective to dismantle militant capabilities and establish a sustained presence in strategic zones throughout the Gaza Strip.
The operations come amid ongoing regional tensions, with Israel continuing its offensive against Hamas and affiliated groups following months of escalations and retaliatory attacks.
