New Delhi [India], February 4 (ANI): The Indian Air Force provided logistical and technical assistance to a Republic of Korea Air Force contingent during a transit halt at Air Force Station Jamnagar, the South Western Air Command said on Tuesday.
The contingent comprised nine T-50B aircraft from the Black Eagles Aerobatic Team and one C-130 transport aircraft. The aircraft halted at Jamnagar from January 31 to February 1 while en route to Saudi Arabia to participate in the World Defense Show 2026.
In a post on X, the South Western Air Command said the Indian Air Force extended full support for landing and technical facilities, including customs and immigration clearances. It also conveyed its best wishes to the team for safe flying and successful participation in the event.
Founded by Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Military Industries, the World Defense Show 2026 is set to showcase the future of defense integration through technological developments from across the globe. The event aims to connect the international defense community and features networking opportunities, live demonstrations, and advanced defense technologies.
The third edition of the World Defense Show will be held from February 8 to February 12 under the royal patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The event will be inaugurated by Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Military Industries.
The World Defense Show serves as a global platform for the defense industry to network, form partnerships, exchange expertise, and explore new innovations. In 2024, the event hosted 773 exhibitors, welcomed 441 official delegations from 116 countries, attracted more than 106,000 trade visitors, and facilitated defense deals worth 26 billion Saudi riyals, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s strategic geographic position and growing influence in the global defense sector.
