
New Delhi [India], May 18 (ANI): Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth will lead an Indian delegation at the 17th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2025), taking place from May 20 to 24 in Langkawi, Malaysia, as announced by the Ministry of Defense.
Prominent Defense Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs), including Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Bharat Dynamics Limited, BEML, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, and Gliders India Limited, along with private defense companies, will participate to demonstrate the Indian defense industry’s capabilities. Indian assets such as the Dornier aircraft and an Indian Naval Ship will also be featured. An Indian Pavilion has been set up and will be inaugurated by Sanjay Seth.
During the event, Seth is also scheduled to meet Malaysian Defense Minister Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation and advance the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and Malaysia. Both nations have maintained a robust relationship that has expanded into defense and security.
Established in 1991 and held biennially, LIMA is among the most significant maritime and aerospace exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region. This year’s edition will feature over 600 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, including India. The event follows India’s participation in the 16th LIMA in 2023, where Additional Secretary (Defence Production) T Natarajan represented India and engaged in discussions with Malaysian Defence Minister Dato’ Seri Mohamad Hasan.
India’s participation in LIMA 2025 underlines its commitment to strengthening regional defense ties and showcasing its growing defense manufacturing capabilities. (ANI)
