Tel Aviv [Israel], June 14 (ANI): As the conflict between Israel and Iran intensifies, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) drew a stark contrast between its military actions and those of Iran. IDF International Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani asserted on Saturday that while Israel has carried out precise strikes on terror-related infrastructure, Iran has launched indiscriminate missile attacks targeting civilian populations.
In a post on X, Shoshani stated, “Israel conducted precise strikes on terror targets, while operating a thousand miles away. Iran fired missiles indiscriminately toward the civilian population. One side conducts brave operations and has its civilians stay safe—the other side hides like cowards and targets civilians. That’s all you need to know.”
He emphasized that the international community can no longer view this as an isolated Israeli issue. “Once again, Iranian missiles are aimed at homes, families, children all over Israel. The world can no longer treat this as Israel’s problem alone. Silence is complicity,” he posted.
As Iran launched multiple ballistic missile barrages, Israeli civilians were forced into bomb shelters across the country. “While we target and neutralize precisely global threats, Iran aims indiscriminately at the whole country and a whole people. Right now, all Israelis are in shelters as Iran fires projectiles to threaten millions of lives. Another wave of attack is heading toward our people,” Shoshani warned.
According to The Times of Israel, the Israeli Air Force conducted targeted bombings of two key airbases in western Iran—located near the cities of Hamadan and Tabriz. The IDF confirmed that the Tabriz site was destroyed in the operation. In addition to these strikes, Israel said it had taken out dozens of other Iranian military assets, including drone systems, air defense platforms, and ballistic missile launchers.
The IDF reaffirmed its stance in an official statement: “Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles toward Israel in the past hours. The IDF cannot, and will not, allow Iran to attack our civilians.”
Meanwhile, Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical and disaster response service, updated the number of injuries from the Iranian missile attacks to 35, with varying degrees of severity.
The situation remains volatile as both nations continue to engage in large-scale military exchanges. Israel insists its strikes are focused and strategic, while condemning Iran for actions that disproportionately endanger civilian lives. (ANI)
