Washington, DC [US], June 18 (ANI): Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, US President Donald Trump on Tuesday (local time) demanded an “unconditional surrender” from Iran, declaring that the United States now has “complete and total control of the skies over Iran” and knows “exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding.”
In a series of posts on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote, “We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran.” He emphasized the superiority of American defense systems, stating, “Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American-made, conceived, and manufactured ‘stuff.’ Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.”
Trump further warned, “Our patience is wearing thin,” and posted in capital letters, “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” He added, “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there—we are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians or American soldiers.”
These statements come as tensions reach a boiling point between Israel and Iran, following five consecutive days of cross-border attacks. Israel has conducted a series of airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities, while Iran has retaliated with missile strikes. Reports from Tehran indicate multiple explosions, and Iranian authorities have warned residents in Tel Aviv and Haifa to evacuate. Many civilians are now fleeing the Iranian capital.
Trump, a vocal supporter of Israel, reiterated his long-standing position that Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons. “Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. It’s very simple—you don’t have to go too deep into it. They just can’t have a nuclear weapon,” he stated.
Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump expressed skepticism about any temporary truce, instead advocating for a decisive conclusion to the conflict. “An end, a real end, not a ceasefire. An end. Or giving up entirely. That’s OK, too,” he said.
According to CNN, Trump is scheduled to meet with his national security team in the White House Situation Room to assess the evolving crisis. He suggested that the next 48 hours would be critical in determining whether Israel would intensify or ease its military campaign. “You’re going to find out. Nobody’s slowed up so far,” he remarked.
Trump also indicated he had left the G7 summit in Kananaskis, Canada, ahead of schedule due to the escalating situation. “I have to be back,” he said during a photo-op with other world leaders. “You probably see what I see. And I have to be back as soon as I can.”
As the situation continues to unfold, Trump expressed hope that Iran’s nuclear ambitions would be neutralized before progressing further. “I hope their programme is going to be wiped out long before that. They’re not going to have a nuclear weapon,” he told reporters.
