
Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], June 9 (ANI): A large forest fire broke out in the Kaldi forest region of Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday afternoon, officials reported.
Locals said the fire started around 4 to 4:30 PM. Pardeep Khajuria, a forester, told ANI, “A fire broke out around 4-4:30 in the evening. Since then, we have been making efforts to douse the fire.” He added, “The maximum fire is under control now.” Firefighting efforts remain ongoing.
