
Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], May 12 (ANI): Kaushalya, the Skill University, has inaugurated an advanced Industry 4.0 Lab to equip Gujarat’s youth with skills in next-generation technologies. The state-of-the-art iFactory Lab, established at the Industrial Training Institute in Kubernagar, Ahmedabad, is a collaborative effort between the university and the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries, according to an official statement.
Guided by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s commitment to enhancing the global competitiveness of the state’s youth, the initiative aims to foster ‘Future-Ready’ talent by embracing forward-looking approaches to education and training.
The new lab will provide hands-on training in emerging Industry 4.0 technologies such as robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics, and cyber-physical systems. By automating the entire process from order placement to product delivery, the lab aims to prepare industry workers to adopt innovative practices.
The facility will benefit not only industry professionals but also students from various educational and technical institutions. It will offer specialized training in technologies like Cyber-Physical Systems, IoT, and Robotics, ensuring a skilled workforce that aligns with evolving industry needs.
This initiative also aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of creating a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047. Under his leadership, India has secured the 40th position in the Global Innovation Index, with industries and entrepreneurs playing a vital role in positioning the nation as a key player in global value chains.
