Gurugram (Haryana) [India], May 6 (ANI) — JSW MG Motor India has launched the upgraded MG Windsor PRO, a new electric vehicle (EV) that comes with a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack and advanced technological features. The company announced the launch on Tuesday, offering the vehicle at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 17,49,800 for the first 8,000 bookings.
The Windsor PRO is also available under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model, priced at Rs 12.49 lakh with an additional charge of Rs 4.5 per km for battery usage. This model provides more affordable and flexible ownership options, aiming to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in India.
Since the initial launch of the Windsor series, JSW MG Motor India has seen a strong response from customers, and the addition of the PRO variant is expected to further strengthen its market presence. The company has partnered with financial institutions like IDFC First Bank and Kotak Mahindra Prime to expand its BaaS model, joining existing financiers such as Bajaj Finserv, Herofin Corp, Ecofy, and VidyutTech.
Key features of the MG Windsor PRO include a certified range of 449 km (MIDC P1 + P2), 136 PS of power, and 200 Nm of instant torque. The vehicle offers new color options—Celadon Blue, Aurora Silver, and Glaze Red—along with 18-inch dual-tone machined alloy wheels. The interior has a dual-tone Ivory and Black theme and reclining Aero Lounge seats to enhance passenger comfort.
The Windsor PRO also boasts high-end features like a powered tailgate, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) technology, which allows the car to power external devices and share energy with other EVs. Safety is prioritized with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), featuring 12 major features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking.
The vehicle is built on MG’s Global Smart Electric Platform, incorporating the brand’s AeroGlide design language. The car is equipped with a 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW Touch Display with i-SMART technology, supporting over 80 connected features and more than 100 AI-based voice commands. A panoramic Infinity View Glass Roof enhances the premium cabin experience.
JSW MG Motor India is also offering a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner and a 3-60 buyback plan, assuring 60 percent of the car’s value after three years. With these features, the Windsor PRO aims to offer an exciting and accessible option for electric vehicle enthusiasts in India. (ANI)
