Tehran [Iran], March 26 (ANI): The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has initiated its 82nd wave of retaliatory strikes against what it described as a US-Israeli coalition, deploying a range of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to a report by Iran’s state media outlet Press TV, the IRGC said the operations were launched in response to earlier aerial attacks targeting Iran’s civilian infrastructure and critical facilities.
The IRGC confirmed that the offensive began early Thursday and is expected to continue throughout the day. Reports indicate that the strikes targeted specific US-linked sites in the Al-Kharj and Arifjan districts of Saudi Arabia, along with the US Defense Logistics Site (KGL) and Patriot radar systems in Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa region.
Additionally, a large number of kamikaze drones reportedly struck support fuel depots used by the US military. Other reported targets included a hangar for MQ-9 Reaper combat drones, a hangar for P-8 surveillance aircraft, and a satellite communications dish for drones at Ali Al Salem Air Base.
Press TV reported that the operations were dedicated to Iranian citizens in the northern provinces of Mazandaran, Golestan, Gilan, Ardabil, and East Azerbaijan.
In what was described as an “impact-driven” strike, the IRGC also claimed to have hit a military command center in what it referred to as “occupied territories,” as well as industrial sites linked to Israel’s nuclear program near the Dead Sea.
Footage circulating from the region appears to show the impact of Iranian projectiles. The IRGC stated that members of the Axis of Resistance conducted 230 operations over the past 24 hours, describing them as the “most extensive” in scale against Israeli positions and US interests.
According to figures provided by the IRGC, Lebanese Hezbollah carried out 87 operations, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance conducted 23, and Iranian armed forces launched 110 drone and missile strikes.
Press TV reported that the IRGC characterized the current West Asia conflict as a war initiated by the United States, Israel, and their regional partners.
The IRGC said its operations would continue until “the hands of aggressors and tyrants are cut off from the region” and stability is restored.
The escalation follows what Iran described as an unprovoked military campaign launched against it on February 28, which it said resulted in the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
The ongoing conflict has caused significant damage to civilian and military infrastructure across Iran, with substantial loss of life. Iranian authorities maintain that their operations targeting Israeli positions and US bases are a direct and necessary response. (ANI)
