Florida [US], December 29 (ANI): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday held talks with US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth in Florida, ahead of his scheduled meeting with President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago.
Netanyahu’s office confirmed the engagement, noting that it is part of ongoing diplomatic efforts in the United States. Earlier, the Prime Minister met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at Mar-a-Lago, with both officials greeting each other amid US and Israeli flags, highlighting the diplomatic nature of the discussions.
The meetings are expected to focus on recent developments related to a peace plan introduced in October aimed at resolving the conflict in Gaza. Netanyahu is seeking stronger US action against Hamas and expressing concerns over Iran’s advancing ballistic missile programme.
His visit underscores continued Israeli outreach to the US administration, even as Trump has shown caution regarding certain Israeli military operations in Syria and remains sensitive to domestic opinion on deeper US involvement in Middle Eastern conflicts.
