Washington, DC [US], June 15 (ANI): Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, US President Donald Trump has clarified that the United States had no involvement in the recent attack on Iran. In a firm warning, he stated that any aggression directed at the United States by Iran would trigger a military response “at levels never seen before.”
“The US had nothing to do with the attack on Iran tonight,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social. “If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before. However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!”
Trump’s statement follows a large-scale Israeli airstrike on Iranian military and nuclear facilities, reportedly named “Operation Rising Lion.” The strike prompted retaliatory ballistic missile attacks from Iran targeting multiple Israeli cities.
According to reports, the conflict has led to substantial casualties. In Iran, at least 78 people have died and over 320 have been injured. In Israel, three people have been confirmed dead and over 170 wounded.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed it had carried out a significant series of airstrikes aimed at curbing Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Targets included Tehran-based facilities tied to Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
In a post on X, the IDF stated:
“The IDF completed an extensive series of strikes on targets in Tehran related to the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons project. The targets included the Iranian Ministry of Defence headquarters, the headquarters of the SPND nuclear project, and additional targets, which advanced the Iranian regime’s efforts to obtain a nuclear weapon and where the Iranian regime hid its nuclear archive.”
Israel’s Foreign Ministry added,
“Iran isn’t just threatening Israel. Its missiles can now reach deep into Europe. The @IDF struck the regime’s nuclear facilities at the 11th hour… Israel is doing what must be done.”
As the situation continues to unfold, international observers are watching closely for further developments and potential diplomatic interventions to halt the conflict. President Trump’s offer to broker peace underscores the urgency of preventing further escalation in the region. (ANI)
