New Delhi [India], November 6 (ANI): A high-level Spanish business delegation visited the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor on Wednesday, accompanied by senior officials from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).
The visit began at the state-of-the-art Namo Bharat Depot in Duhai, Ghaziabad, where the delegates were briefed on advanced maintenance facilities and operational processes designed to ensure reliability and efficiency of Namo Bharat services. The delegation then boarded the Namo Bharat train from Duhai Depot Station, travelling across multiple stations along the corridor. During the journey, they were informed about the commuter-centric design and modern onboard features of the trains, appreciating the seamless regional travel experience offered by the system.
At Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station, the delegation received a briefing on station design and initiatives for Multi-Modal Integration (MMI), aimed at ensuring smooth connectivity with other transport systems and enhancing the overall commuter experience.
The delegation later visited GatiShakti Bhawan, the NCRTC Corporate Office, where they interacted with the leadership team. NCRTC Managing Director Shalabh Goel welcomed the delegates and highlighted the project’s innovative approach. Senior NCRTC officers presented an overview of the Namo Bharat project, including the technologies deployed, future opportunities, and best practices followed during implementation.
The Spanish delegation expressed appreciation for NCRTC’s focus on safety, operational excellence, modern technology integration, and sustainable regional mobility solutions. They acknowledged Namo Bharat as a transformative initiative contributing to commuter-friendly and future-ready regional transit in India. (ANI)
