
Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), May 13: The Srinagar Police have ramped up their crackdown in the city, conducting extensive searches across various locations to dismantle the terrorist network in the district. The operations primarily target terrorist associates of banned outfits, in line with investigations into cases filed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
As part of the ongoing efforts, the police have carried out searches at the residences of several terrorist associates. To date, nearly 11 locations in multiple areas of Kashmir, including Kanimazar, Chanpora, Nowgam, Syedpora Eidgah, Zainkadal, Saidpora Eidgah, KhaneSokta, Reiteng Khanyar, Rainawari, Trehgam, and Ibrahim Colony, have been raided.
The searches were conducted in accordance with legal procedures, supervised by Jammu and Kashmir Police officers, and in the presence of Executive Magistrates and independent witnesses. Authorities focused on seizing arms, documents, digital devices, and other materials with the aim of collecting evidence and gathering intelligence to prevent potential terrorist or conspiratorial activities.
The Srinagar Police remains determined to uphold peace and security in the city, emphasizing that anyone found involved in promoting violence, disruption, or unlawful activities will face strict legal action.
