
New Delhi, May 3 (ANI): A teenage girl was found dead early Saturday morning in Delhi’s Japanese Park, with initial police investigations suggesting suicide, according to an official statement by Delhi Police.
The incident was reported to the Prashant Vihar police station at around 6:45 am. Responding swiftly, police personnel reached the location and discovered the girl hanging from a tree using her dupatta.
“Information was received at 6:45 AM at PS Prashant Vihar that an unknown teenage girl was found hanging from a tree in Japanese Park. Police immediately reached the spot and found that the girl was hanging with her dupatta from a tree. Prima facie, it looks like a suicide case. Teams of Crime Branch and FSL have been called on the spot. Efforts are being made to establish the identity of the deceased. Further investigation is underway,” the police stated.
Officials have not yet released the girl’s identity, and both Crime Branch and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams were summoned to the scene to assist in the investigation. Authorities have emphasized that a detailed inquiry is ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the death.
