
Nagarkurnool (Telangana) [India], May 2 (ANI): A tragic incident occurred in Peddakothapally, Nagarkurnool district, Telangana, on Thursday evening when three children drowned while playing near a pond. The incident took place between 4 and 5 pm when six children from the same village were playing near the water.
While playing, three of the children ventured into the water and drowned. Despite immediate help being called, the children could not be saved. The victims, identified as two boys aged 7 and 13, and a 10-year-old girl, tragically lost their lives.
The Sub-Inspector of Peddakothapalli Police Station confirmed the incident, stating that the bodies had been sent for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
Gujarat: Six Family Members Drown in Meshwo River
In a similarly heartbreaking event in Gujarat’s Kheda district, six young family members, mostly cousins, drowned in the Meshwo River on Wednesday evening. The victims had come to take a bath in the river near Kanij village when they tragically drowned.
A team from the Nadiad Fire Brigade was dispatched to recover the bodies. Rajesh Gadhiya, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kheda, confirmed that the victims were brothers and sisters who had arrived from Naroda in Ahmedabad to visit their maternal uncle’s house for the holidays.
The bodies were recovered and sent for post-mortem examination.
