Washington, D.C. [US], July 6 (ANI): In a dramatic turn in the ongoing Trump-Musk feud, Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Saturday announced the launch of his own political movement, the “America Party,” promising to give a voice to the middle ground in American politics.
Criticizing the current political landscape for offering “no real choice,” Musk declared on X, “We live in a one-party system, not a democracy.” The America Party, branding itself as “The party that actually represents America!”, posted on X:
“We’ve tried red. We’ve tried blue. America is ready for something that actually works. America Party — The middle has a voice now.”

In another post, the party account stated, “The silent majority isn’t silent anymore. This is the moment everything shifts. The America Party is now here — and it’s the answer to a system that stopped listening.”
The announcement followed a poll Musk conducted on X, where he asked users whether he should form a new party. According to Musk, 65 percent of respondents supported the idea. “By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it! When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy. Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom,” he wrote.
Musk’s move comes amid escalating tensions with former President Donald Trump over the recently passed “Big Beautiful Bill,” which Musk has criticized as fiscally reckless. The bill, a key Trump legislative initiative, was passed by Congress on Thursday and signed into law on the Fourth of July during a celebratory ceremony outside the White House.
Since leaving his White House advisory role, Musk has been one of the most outspoken critics of the bill, warning of its impact on the national deficit. He has also pledged to support primary challengers against Republican lawmakers who backed the measure while defending Representative Thomas Massie, one of the bill’s most prominent opponents.
Despite Saturday’s high-profile launch, Musk has yet to unveil a detailed roadmap for the America Party or clarify whether he intends to run for office himself. (ANI)
