Often, when President Trump expressed his desire to be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize—which in the past has been awarded to personalities with controversial philosophies and questionable political ideologies, some even aligned with terrorism—any reasonable person familiar with the Nobel Committee’s history could easily predict that President Trump would never be considered for the honor. Simply put, he does not fit their profile.
President Trump’s worldview differs sharply from the globalist, left-leaning agenda of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, chaired by a leftist globalist figure surrounded by colleagues who share similar radical views and show little respect for genuine peace efforts. Their selections often lack pragmatism or wisdom, being heavily skewed toward advancing their ideological preferences. In doing so, they have diminished the true value of their self-proclaimed moniker, the “Nobel Peace Prize,” turning it into a badge for globalist causes rather than a recognition of true peacemakers.
This year, the Committee awarded its so-called “Nobel Peace Prize” to Venezuelan political activist María Corina Machado, who opposed the Maduro government for her democratic activism. While honoring María should not be belittled, even she reportedly acknowledged that President Trump deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. After her name was announced, she called President Trump and said, “Actually, you deserved the Nobel Peace Prize.”
However, the Committee’s blatant disregard for the opinions of the global population—and the many nations that recommended President Trump for the prize—is an insult the world should not overlook. The Nobel Committee awards the prize only to those who fit their mold. President Trump does not fit that mold, nor will he ever bow to their agendas. Composed of left-leaning radicals, the Committee will never align with the policies and principles President Trump espouses. Thus, it is only natural that his name would not be brought up for consideration, despite nominations from across the globe recognizing his genuine peace efforts.
A brief look at the history of this so-called peace prize reveals a consistent pattern—it has been granted mostly to those who promote leftist global agendas, not to genuine peacemakers. By denying the prize to President Trump, the Committee has effectively confessed to the world that its members are suffering from what can only be described as “Trump Derangement Syndrome”—a condition that clouds judgment and prevents objective decision-making. They appear immune to reason and ridicule, pretending to be impartial while showing themselves to be intellectually compromised. Individuals of such disposition in positions of responsibility are a burden to society and show little regard for public opinion.
In doing so, the Committee has further diminished the value of the prize and invited global disappointment and ridicule. Imagine this irony: even President Putin of Russia—hardly a friend of Trump—and Hillary Clinton, Trump’s political adversary, have both acknowledged that President Trump’s efforts to settle nearly seven international conflicts within his first nine months in office merit the Nobel Peace Prize.
This time, the Committee’s actions have completely exposed their bias. Their blind pursuit of ideological agendas, coupled with their arrogant dismissal of international recommendations from political and social leaders worldwide, has dealt a severe blow to their credibility. It has become clear that these far-left idealogues neither care for genuine peace nor for the welfare of people suffering under the threats of nuclear weapons, terrorism, and war.
Even though it is called a “Peace Prize,” historically very few true peacemakers have received it. Mahatma Gandhi of India, who devoted his life to nonviolent resistance and brought the mighty British Empire to its knees through peaceful means, was never awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Time Magazine named Gandhi one of the most influential persons of the 20th century, yet the Nobel Committee overlooked him. In contrast, they awarded the prize to Yasser Arafat, who never stood for peace, and to Al Gore, whose work focused on climate activism rather than peace—an alignment that fit their political agenda.
The Nobel Prize was also awarded to President Barack Obama just 9 months into his presidency. Yet, after receiving the prize, his administration became embroiled in multiple conflicts in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Pakistan—many of which continue to this day, costing hundreds of thousands of lives and plunging millions into poverty.
President Trump, on the other hand, worked tirelessly to end wars and foster peace across the globe. He made genuine efforts to stop the brutal killings in war-torn countries where thousands perished daily. Just last week, he successfully mediated peace in the Middle East, ending a two-year war between Israel and Palestine. He also helped bring stability to several nations in Africa, Europe, and Asia that had suffered from decades of conflict. Unlike many of his predecessors, he started no wars but worked relentlessly to promote peace.
However, the Nobel Committee, blinded by its severe case of TDS, failed to recognize what the rest of the world witnessed. Friends and foes alike admired President Trump’s courage, resolve, and determination to pursue peace globally. Their decision to snub him has not only revealed their political bias but has also further devalued the once-prestigious Nobel Peace Prize—something the Committee, in its ideological blindness, has utterly failed to comprehend.
