Medchal-Malkajgiri (Telangana) [India], July 13 (ANI): Following the attack on the office of Congress MLC Chintapandu Naveen, popularly known as Teenmar Mallanna, an eyewitness claimed the miscreants intended to target the MLC directly.
Fasiuddin, who identified himself as an eyewitness to the incident, alleged the attack was carried out by workers of Telangana Jagruthi, who assaulted Teenmar Mallanna’s staff with sticks. He said 15 to 20 office workers were injured and called for strict action against the culprits.
“I was present inside the office, and people regularly come here to meet MLC Teenmar Mallanna with their grievances. Around 15–20 Telangana Jagruthi workers attacked the office. They intended to attack the MLC himself. Ten to fifteen staff members were seriously injured after being attacked with sticks. The government should take strict action, and the police should arrest them,” Fasiuddin told ANI.
The office of Congress MLC Chintapandu Naveen was vandalized on Sunday, reportedly by Telangana Jagruthi workers, following his alleged remarks about Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K. Kavitha.
Visuals from Q News, which also serves as Mallanna’s office, showed damaged furniture, shattered mirrors, and what appeared to be blood stains.
“We have just received information and are en route to the spot. We’ll provide more details later,” Malkajgiri ACP said.
Bharatha Chaitanya Yuvajana Party (BCYP) President Bode Ramachandra Yadav condemned the attack as “unfortunate” and demanded action against those responsible. “This is very unfortunate that MLC Teenmar Mallanna and his office were attacked. The government should take action against the persons behind it,” Yadav said.
Following the incident, supporters of Congress MLC Chintapandu Naveen staged a protest against the alleged attackers, raising slogans and demanding their arrest. (ANI)
