
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], May 5 (ANI): Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday commended the Uttarakhand government for the accelerated progress of the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ campaign, reaffirming the Central Government’s resolute commitment to advancing skill development for women across the state.
“The Uttarakhand government is moving rapidly to ensure the success of the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ initiative. Adequate funding will be provided for its continued growth. We will leave no stone unturned in promoting skill development,” Chouhan stated during his visit.
Earlier in the day, the Union Minister held a high-level review meeting with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to evaluate the implementation status of several Central government schemes under the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Chief Minister Dhami welcomed Chouhan to the state and expressed appreciation for the Centre’s ongoing support in reinforcing Uttarakhand’s agricultural and rural development infrastructure.
Sharing updates from the meeting on X (formerly Twitter), Chouhan wrote, “The double engine government, under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, is dedicated to the prosperity of farmers and the holistic development of rural India. It is heartening to see the effective implementation of all Central welfare schemes in Uttarakhand.”
He further noted that Uttarakhand’s Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, Soldier Welfare, and Rural Development, Shri @ganeshjoshibjp, along with other senior officials, were also present during the deliberations.
In addition to the review meeting, Chouhan participated in a tree-planting activity at the Bijapur State Guest House premises in Dehradun, continuing his commitment to his daily environmental initiative.
In another post on X, he shared, “As part of my pledge to plant a sapling each day, a sapling was planted today at the Bijapur State Guest House in Dehradun. In this service to Mother Nature, I was joined by Shri @ganeshjoshibjp ji, Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, Soldier Welfare, and Rural Development in the Government of Uttarakhand.”
