
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 12 (ANI): A young woman lost her life and four others sustained injuries when a private bus rammed into multiple bikers waiting at a red signal in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday. The incident took place at Banganga Square, under the jurisdiction of TT Nagar Police Station.
According to officials, the bikers had halted at the red signal when the bus, approaching from behind, collided with the two-wheelers, dragging them a considerable distance. The impact proved fatal for the woman, while four others were injured.
Upon being informed, the police reached the accident site, transported the injured to the district hospital, and sent the deceased’s body to Hamidia Hospital for post-mortem examination.
TT Nagar Police Station in-charge Sudheer Arjariya stated, “A yellow bus, moving from Roshanpura towards Pital Mandir, seemingly lost control and struck several vehicles that were stopped at the Banganga Square signal. Initially, the bus hit a white car before colliding with two or three two-wheelers, dragging them some distance. As a result, a young woman died on the spot, while around four to five others were injured.”
Following the accident, the bus driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. The police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
