
Dubai [UAE], July 14 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Monday attended the Madhya Pradesh Business Investment Forum in Dubai, highlighting the state’s investment-friendly policies and potential across key sectors.
The event began with dignitaries being felicitated with flowers and shawls. Among those present were Sahitya Chaturvedi, Secretary General of IBPC Dubai; Consul General Satish Kumar Sivan; and senior bureaucrats.
Raghwendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Investment Promotion and Department of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, delivered a detailed address outlining Madhya Pradesh’s investor-friendly climate and opportunities. Singh emphasized the immense potential in sectors including food processing, automobiles, electric vehicles, textiles, garments, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, chemicals, logistics, and warehousing.
“Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, we have brought eighteen new pro-business, business-friendly, multi-industry approach policies in Madhya Pradesh in 2025,” Singh said, adding, “I confidently say that we are the ones with the finest investment-friendly policies across the sector.”
Earlier in the day, CM Yadav engaged in a series of meetings with business leaders to attract investments worth an estimated USD 30–50 million, according to the Chief Minister’s Office.
On social media, the CM’s Office shared that Yadav met Sharaf Group Chairman Ibrahim Sharaf to discuss strategic investments in logistics and supply chain infrastructure, including a proposed Rail Siding Logistics Park in Madhya Pradesh. The park is expected to create 300–600 direct and indirect jobs, with an investment of USD 30–50 million.
Yadav also met Sunil Manjrekar, President of the Gulf Maharashtra Business Forum (GMBF), to explore connecting Madhya Pradesh with business networks in the Middle East and Africa. Manjrekar assured support for foreign investment, export growth, and Madhya Pradesh’s participation in global value chains.
In addition, Yadav held discussions with Tata Group representatives on potential collaboration in IT, renewable energy, infrastructure, automobiles, and consumer products. He also met Humaid Mohamed Ben Salem, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) UAE, focusing on strengthening economic ties and promoting bilateral investments.
Highlighting the state’s cultural heritage and tourism prospects, Yadav spoke about efforts to boost religious tourism, particularly the iconic Baba Mahakal procession in Ujjain. “We have made new arrangements for Baba Mahakal’s procession. The state government is committed to increasing religious tourism,” he said.
After wrapping up his UAE visit, Yadav is scheduled to travel to Spain as part of his July 13–19 overseas tour, which aims to attract global investment, encourage technology sharing, and generate employment under the Global Dialogue 2025 initiative. (ANI)
