New Delhi [India], November 15 (ANI): The 8th edition of the biennial joint bilateral exercise “Ajeya Warrior” between the Indian and British Armies will be held from November 17 to 30 at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan, the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADG-PI) of the Indian Army announced.
In a post on X, the ADG-PI said the exercise aims to strengthen operational synergy in joint counterterrorism operations in semi-urban environments. “Exercise AJEYA WARRIOR 2025… will be conducted from 17 to 30 November 2025 at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges, Rajasthan. The exercise aims to strengthen operational synergy in joint counterterrorism operations in semi-urban environment under Chapter VII of the UN mandate. It reflects the shared commitment of India and the United Kingdom toward global peace and security, while further deepening defense cooperation, camaraderie, and mutual trust between both armies,” the post said.
According to an earlier release from the Ministry of Defence, the 7th edition of the joint military exercise “Ajeya Warrior-23” was conducted at Salisbury Plains in the United Kingdom in 2023. The exercises focus on building positive military relations, sharing best practices, and enhancing the ability to operate together during company-level sub-conventional operations in urban and semi-urban environments under a UN mandate. They also help strengthen interoperability, camaraderie, and mutual understanding between the two armies.
This edition of the Army exercise comes shortly after India and the United Kingdom successfully conducted Exercise Konkan off India’s west coast in October. The Indian Navy and Royal Navy bilateral Exercise Konkan-25 began on October 5 and has grown significantly in scale and complexity over the past two decades, fostering enhanced interoperability and cooperation in maritime operations between the two navies.
