WASHINGTON, December 27 (ANI): Five people were injured in a shooting in Northwest Washington on Friday night, local time, and an investigation is underway, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
In a series of posts on X, DC police said the shooting occurred near the intersection of 5th and N streets, Northwest, and that a lookout has been issued for multiple suspects who fled the scene in a dark-colored four-door sedan.
Police initially reported that four adult male victims were located at the scene, all conscious and breathing.
In a subsequent update, authorities confirmed that a total of five adult males were injured in the incident.
“All five were taken to area hospitals, conscious and breathing. The incident remains under investigation,” the police said.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing and further details are awaited.
