4PARIS, June 18 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a productive interaction with Martin Sion, Chief Executive Officer of Alstom, during his visit to France, highlighting India’s growth trajectory and the expanding opportunities for global partnerships with the country’s young workforce.
The Prime Minister noted that Alstom already has a strong presence in India and commended the company’s confidence in India’s growth story, as well as its commitment to manufacturing in India for global markets.
He emphasized that opportunities for collaboration are expected to grow even further in the coming years and reiterated India’s invitation to global companies to partner with its youth.
In a post on X, Modi wrote, “Had a productive interaction with the CEO of Alstom, Martin Sion. Alstom already has a strong presence in India. Their belief in India’s growth story and their efforts towards making in India and making for the world are commendable. And, the opportunities are going to get even better in the times to come. India invites the world to collaborate with our youth.”
The Prime Minister also met Rodolphe Saade, Chairman and CEO of the CMA CGM Group, in Paris on Thursday.
The high-level meeting took place during Modi’s visit to the French capital. CMA CGM is a global provider of sea, land, air, and logistics solutions. The world’s third-largest shipping company serves more than 420 ports across five continents with a fleet of more than 650 vessels.
Earlier, Modi also held meetings with Benoit Bazin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Saint-Gobain; Martin Sion, Chief Executive Officer of Alstom; and Arthur Mensch, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mistral AI.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in Paris on Wednesday local time for the final leg of his visit to France.
His visit follows participation in the G7 Summit in Evian, where he held a series of meetings and discussions on key global issues, including governance, artificial intelligence, and cooperation with the Global South. (ANI)
