TEL AVIV, Israel, June 21 (ANI): The Israeli Air Force (IAF) on Sunday said it killed Hassan Qadara and Muhammad Para in the southern Gaza Strip, alleging that the two operated under Hamas to facilitate the transfer of funds into Gaza.
In a post on X, the IAF said, “Assisted in transferring more than half a billion shekels to Hamas: The Air Force struck and eliminated last week the terrorists Hassan Qadara and Muhammad Para in the southern Gaza Strip—terrorists in the military wing of the terror organization Hamas and the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades who operated under an infrastructure run by the terror organization Hamas to transfer funds to the Gaza Strip.”
According to the IAF, the funds were used by Hamas to continue paying salaries to its members.
“Qadara, the head of the infrastructure, together with Para and additional operatives, acted under the direction of Hamas leadership and assisted in transferring more than half a billion Israeli shekels to Hamas’ military wing while operating a network of dozens of couriers and money changers in Turkey and the Gaza Strip,” the IAF said.
The Israeli military alleged that the funds enabled Hamas to continue paying salaries to its operatives and finance activities targeting Israel Defense Forces personnel and Israeli civilians, in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The IAF said that IDF forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue operations to eliminate any threats.
Earlier on June 20, Israeli strikes in Gaza killed at least six people, including two children and an Al Jazeera cameraman, according to Palestinian health officials, as reported by Politico. (ANI)
