On Saturday, India stated that Pakistan had violated the understanding reached between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries regarding the cessation of firing and military action. The Indian Army is retaliating to address the ongoing border intrusions.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, during a special briefing, emphasized that India takes “very serious note of these violations” and has instructed the armed forces to respond firmly to any further breaches along the International Border and the Line of Control.
Misri called upon Pakistan to take responsible actions to maintain peace, noting that the Indian Armed Forces are maintaining a strong vigil and have been instructed to respond robustly to any further violations. (ANI)
