Trump Declares All Biden Autopen-Signed Documents, Including Pardons, “Null and Void”

Washington, D.C. [US], December 3 (ANI): US President Donald Trump has declared all official documents signed by his predecessor Joe Biden using an autopen “null, void, and of no further force or effect.”

An autopen is a device used to replicate a person’s signature with precision, and has been used by both Republican and Democratic presidents.

“Any and all documents, proclamations, executive orders, memorandums, or contracts, signed by order of the now infamous and unauthorized ‘AUTOPEN’ within the administration of Joseph R. Biden Jr., are hereby null, void, and of no further force or effect,” Trump said in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social.

“Anyone receiving ‘Pardons,’ ‘Commutations,’ or any other legal document so signed, please be advised that said document has been fully and completely terminated, and is of no legal effect,” he added.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that Biden was unable to control the executive office because of his age and mental state. He has long criticized Biden for using an autopen during his presidency, arguing that the practice showed he was not in charge. He previously alleged that Biden aides made several decisions without the president’s knowledge.

Before leaving the Oval Office, former President Joe Biden issued a series of preemptive pardons for family members and political figures. The pardons aimed to protect individuals who were vocal opponents of President-elect Donald Trump and to shield Biden’s closest relatives from possible prosecution by the incoming administration. The actions, taken in the final hours of Biden’s presidency, were considered a significant use of presidential authority.

Biden granted clemency to high-profile figures including General Mark Milley, Anthony Fauci, and members of Congress who served on the committee investigating the January 6 Capitol attack. These preemptive pardons were widely viewed as a defensive measure against potential retribution from the incoming Trump administration.

Biden also pardoned several family members, including his brothers James and Frank, his sister Valerie, and their spouses. (ANI)
